Village of about 800 inhabitants, Agros is located in the heart of the island of Cyprus, along the Troodos mountain range, in the Pitsilia region.
Surrounded by vineyards, almond, walnut and hazelnut trees, Agros is rich in typical Mediterranean diet products that are at the base of its inhabitants' nutrition: sausages, lamb, sheep and fruit jams.
La Mediterranean Diet does not only characterize Agros but the whole island. The Cypriots who live in rural areas, in fact, are used to self-produce almost all the food they get on their tables such as chickpeas, beans, figs, sour herbs and dates.
